The common explanations of
Duality are obsolete.
It is misleading to think of the micro universe as being made of billiard-ball particles or unreal waves.
Everything in the universe is made of
continuously-moving, light-speed
Resonant Fields.

Just as this Crab Nebula exists as a separate entity within the universal gravitational field structure, resonance confines discrete amounts of energy in self-existent, self-regulating, self-maintaining, pseudorandomally-flowing, interactive field structures that can and do exist within other resonant field systems without an interchange of energy.
Resonant field structures interact with, and modify gravity, but they do not exchange energy with it. Nothing in orbit does.

Particles are pseudorandom sequences of field activities that produce effects we associate with billiard-balls, i.e. "particles."
Waves are pseudorandom sequences of field activities that produce effects we associate with ocean waves.
And, that's all there is to Duality!

Light has a linear flow of its orthogonal electric and magnetic fields that confines its energy to the propagating photonic ray. It takes many rays to make up what we ordinarily thing of as a light "wave."
Atoms, subatomic particles and gravity have a nonlinear field flow… a spherical resonance that confines its energy to the shape of its structure.
Bonding shells are also nonlinear, but manifest whatever shape the conglomerate of atoms in the structure have. They are also anti-gravitational.
